ARK News.. A website for tracking oil tankers revealed that Iran has increased its oil exports significantly to Syria, after the arrival of a number of Iranian oil tankers that carry more than (6.8) million barrels to the port of Banyas in Tartous Governorate. Despite the sanctions imposed on Iran and Syria.

According to the Tanker Trackers website, Iran is currently providing more than (3) times the amount it was exporting to Syria, which became the first among Iranian oil importers, after China reduced its imports from Tehran.

The Iranian "Radio Farda" site suggested that "excess oil stocks in the midst of sanctions, and the global oil surplus, is what compels Iran to ship crude oil and its reserves in a friendly country." And that the government of the Syrian regime and the Lebanese "Hezbollah" could be "channels for selling Iranian oil on the black market."

The American newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" published a report earlier, in which it said that the US Treasury Department issued a "black list" that includes the names of (30) tankers, which provided the Assad regime with Iranian oil and bottled Russian gas, warning all those dealing with these tankers that they “risk challenging the US sanctions.”
