Duhok: A person drowned and material losses due to rain and torrential rain
ARK News.. A heavy rainfall overnight on Wednesday resulted in a flash flood in Duhok, the third largest city of Kurdistan Region, causing severe damage to civilian properties.
An official from Duhok Governorate told BasNews that the assessment shows 400 civilian houses have been severely damaged by the flood.
He also revealed that at least 100 shops and tens of civilian vehicles suffered damages as well.
According to the official, one person died in the flood and two others were rescued by the Civil Defense Unit in Duhok.
He noted that Serhildan neighborhood is the worst affected due to the fact that it is located in the lower areas of the city.
