Local activists said that a joint checkpoint for the Air Force Intelligence and Military Security and the Fourth Squad got down the woman and her young son from the bus they were on board near the city of Tabqa (55 km west of the city of Raqqa, and arrested them after searching their IDs without knowing the charge against them or the destination they were taken to.

Regime forces daily arrest women and youth from their areas of control on political or criminal charges or for taking them to compulsory and preventive military service in their ranks.

Parts of Al-Raqqa governorate are subjected to the forces of the regime, while SDF controls the largest part after it expelled the Islamic State from it with the support of the International Alliance in October 2017.
