Statement by ENKS about PYD accusations and threats to the Kurdish Council
ARK News: The Presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Sunday, February 23, 2020, issued a statement to the public about the PYD's threats to the Council. ARK Media Foundation received a copy of the statement, stating:
Within the framework of the initial policy of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, and the diplomatic efforts that it exerts to communicate its vision about the future of the country and resolve the Kurdish issue in it, and to alleviate the suffering of the Kurdish people and what they are exposed to in the areas of Afrin, Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) and Sri Kaniye (Ras Al-Ain) with the rest of the other components, by communicating and building good relations with the various parties of the opposition and with the powers and countries affecting the Syrian issue, including Turkey as a neighboring country that it has its presence and its role in the international scales that deal with the Syrian file.
The Syrian delegation, in this context, the visit of a delegation from the Kurdish National Council to Turkey and its reception by its Foreign Minister, Mawuloud Shawish oglu, which met and came with satisfaction from wide circles, thus, instead of supporting these efforts and in the calls for unity of the Kurdish position, and to resolve the existing differences, the Democratic Union Party the PYD in an official statement, that it made false accusations against the council, calling it improper attributes, threatening it, and public incitement against it.
The Kurdish National Council, while rejecting the language of threatening and tampering with the fate of the Kurdish people, and it confirms that it will not hesitate to defend its cause and national rights and works to stop violations against Afrin, Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain, in order to return the Kurdish displaced to their homes and rejects any form of demographic change as it calls for the sons of the Kurdish people and their friends to reject these speeches and practices that attempt to offend these efforts and torpedo initiatives of building a unified Kurdish position in these delicate and crucial circumstances.
