Oct 04 2019

ARK News: The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in Moscow on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, that Turkey has the legal right to protect its territory from "terrorism" as he described.

On the situation in the eastern Euphrates in Syrian Kurdistan and the possible Turkish military operation in the region, Peskov said: "Russia is watching the situation closely."

Peskov stressed that: "Russian President Vladimir Putin said several times that Turkey has the legal right to protect its territory from terrorist elements."

Al-Moallem had stated in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV: "Turkey has to choose between being a neighbor or an enemy state. If it chooses to be a neighbor, there is an Adana Agreement that guarantees the border security of the two countries. There are grounds for good neighborliness, if Turkey adheres to it, it must first show goodwill by withdrawing its troops from Syria and stop its support for different militias”.
