Announcement of the formation of the Syrian Constitutional Committee days later
ARK News: Mikhail Bogdanov, special envoy of the Russian president to the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, announced that the completion of the formation of the Syrian Constitutional Committee should be in September.
Bogdanov told reporters on Monday: "We proceed from the fact that the formation of the Constitutional Commission must be completed this month, and the date of launching its work must be determined," pointing out that Moscow held two telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Turkey, and this issue was among the topics discussed.
The UN special envoy to Syria, Geir Pederson, during a meeting of the UN Security Council late last month, announced that the announcement of the formation of the Syrian Constitutional Committee may take place before September 24, and toured Iran and Ankara to discuss the file of the launch of the Constitutional Committee.
