The Syrian regime reveals its position towards conducting joint US-Turkish patrols in the safe area

ARK News: The Syrian regime condemned the conduct of joint US-Turkish patrols in the safe area in Syrian Kurdistan, considering that this step constitutes a flagrant violation of international law.

An official source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants told the Syrian News Agency (SANA): The Syrian regime condemns in the strongest terms the conduct of joint patrols by the US administration and the Turkish regime in the Syrian Kurdistan region in flagrant violation of international law and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

The source added that the Syrian regime asserts that this step represents aggression described in the full sense of the word and aims to complicate and prolong the crisis in Syria after the field achievements made by the Syrian regime's militants in pursuit of remnants of terrorist groups.

Pointing out that “the Syrian regime renews its absolute rejection of the so-called safe zone,” and that “it reaffirms the determination to drop all projects that target the territorial integrity and peaceful of Syria.
