Europe representation of ENKS meets with a delegation from the presidency of the Council and the Office of External Relations

ARK News: the Europe representation of the Kurdish National Council held on Saturday, 7 September 2019, in the German city of Bochum, a special meeting with a delegation from the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council and the Office of Foreign Relations.

The meeting started by welcoming the distinguished guests by the Head of the Representation, Mr. Abdul Karim Haji, then, everyone stood a minute of silence on the souls of the martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan and the martyrs of the Syrian revolution.

The meeting focused on the organizational status of the European National Council's Representative Office in Europe, and the discussion focused on matters that aim to develop political action and activate the work of the representative, and the meeting was stressed on the need to intensify activities and meetings that enhance the Kurdish position and contribute to activate the Kurdish movement in Europe through increased communication with the Kurdish community in the Diaspora and the need to document the activities through activating the role of the media at home and abroad.

Talks also dealt with the role of the Kurdish National Council as the holder of the national project, and the recent activities carried out in the European arena, especially meetings with the foreign ministries of the European Union, Russia, and the United States with the aim of clarifying and consolidating the rights of the Kurdish people, and resolving the Kurdish issue as an essential part of any future solution in Syria.

With regard to the American and French initiatives to unify the Kurdish position and reach a point of consensus between the dispute parties, the Presidential Body affirmed the position of the Kurdish National Council, which supports and blesses any initiative aimed at achieving a common Kurdish vision and achieving the objectives of the Kurdish people and their national project within a democratic, pluralistic and federal Syria.
