ARK News: The regions of Syrian Kurdistan in the past two days witnessed a sudden rise in fuel prices, especially fuel and gasoline, this comes in conjunction with the rise in the dollar and foreign currencies against the Syrian pound.

With the approaching of winter season and the increasing need for fuel for citizens, the "PYD" has increased fuel prices by 50% in all regions and cities of Syrian Kurdistan, where it raised the sale price of a liter of diesel at gas stations from 50 to 75 SP, adding two Pounds to it to become 77 in return for delivery to homes through their councils, and has also raised the price of a liter of gasoline to 100 S.P.

This decision was met with resentment among the citizens of Syrian Kurdistan, which is witnessing a daily rise in the prices of all goods in addition to the exploitation of traders who rely on the high price of dollar.

In the same context, a group of women from Tirba Spiye went out yesterday to the main street expressing their dissatisfaction with the high prices, and demanded the return of prices to what they were.

For their part, social media pioneers addressed the issue and showed their deep resentment, holding the PYD responsible for the living situation of the people.
