ARK News: After the Syrian regime handed over some areas of Kurdistan Syria to the PYD, this party began imposing its ideological curricula on schools under its control, as a result of its lack of acceptance by the teaching staff, the latter brought unqualified persons close to it and appointed them to the teaching staff.

A teacher from Qamishlo, who preferred to remain anonymous, told ARK News that the minister of education in the PYD administration, or the so-called "co-chairperson of the island's education authority," called "Samira Haj Ali," has the only baccalaureate and does not have any university degrees. She obtained her baccalaureate recently from the Syrian regime after being appointed to the PYD administration.

The teacher added that about 90 percent of teachers, who work in the PYD schools, are unqualified and unskilled.

Due to the PYD school policies, a large proportion of families from Syrian Kurdistan have migrated towards the interior of Syria, neighboring countries and the EU in order to pursue their children's education.
