قوات سوريا الديمقراطية تختطف القاصر كاميران صالح عصمت من كوباني
تستمر قوات سوريا الديمقراطية في سياسة ترهيب الأطفال وسلب طفولتهم والزج بهم في معسكرات التجنيد الإجباري في المناطق التي تسيطر عليها، إذ اختطفت قاصرا من مدینة كوباني بكوردستان سوريا.
قال مصدر خاص لموقع آرك نيوز، إن مسلحي حركة الشبيبة الثورية (جوانين شورشكر) التابعة لقوات سوريا الديمقراطية اختطفوا القاصر " كاميران صالح عصمت" البالغ من العمر 12 عاما، دون علم أو موافقة عائلته.
وأضاف المصدر، تم اقتياد الطفل المختطف إلى معسكرات تجنيد وعسكرة الأطفال التابعة لقوات سوريا الديمقراطية المنتشرة في عدة مناطق بكوردستان سوريا.
رغم توقيع مظلوم كوباني قائد قوات سوريا الديمقراطية خطة عمل مع فرجينيا غامبا ممثلة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بالأطفال والنزاع المسلح، لإنهاء ومنع تجنيد الأطفال دون سن 18 واستخدامهم في الأعمال العسكرية، فإن زج القاصرين في المعارك وتجنيدهم ما يزال مستمراً.

Jan Egeland: Syria Now an “Easier Place” for Humanitarian Work
ARK News.. Jan Egeland, Secretary-General of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), described Syria as an “easier place” for humanitarian work, while urging the Syrian government to further facilitate permits for aid operations.
Speaking to Syria TV, Egeland said that internally displaced civilians can now return home, but stressed that reconstruction is essential to ensure their resettlement.
“People cannot continue living in tents through the winter; they need proper housing,” he noted.
Egeland also appealed to regional and international donors to seize what he called an “unprecedented opportunity” to support Syria’s recovery, warning that hundreds of thousands of returnees are finding ruins instead of livelihoods in their hometowns.

Kurdistan Region Presidency Reaffirms Rule of Law, Calls for Calm in Sulaymaniya
ARK News.. The Presidency of the Kurdistan Region has issued a statement stressing the importance of upholding the rule of law and safeguarding security and stability in the city of Sulaymaniya, following violent incidents that left several casualties early Friday.
The statement emphasized that disputes must be resolved peacefully and legally, away from violence, underscoring the government’s commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property.
“In light of the unfortunate events in Sulaymaniya, we reaffirm the rule of law, the protection of security and stability in the city, and the safety of its people,” the statement read.
The Presidency also expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.

يان إيغلاند: سوريا مكان سهل للعمل الإنساني
أكد الأمين العام للمجلس النرويجي للاجئين أن سوريا مكان سهل للعمل الإنساني، وطالب الحكومة السورية بتسهيل تقديم الأذونات اللازمة.
وفق موقع تلفزيون سوريا، قال الأمين العام للمجلس النرويجي للاجئين يان إيغلاند، إن المدنيين الذين نزحوا داخل سوريا بسبب الحرب أصبح بإمكانهم العودة.
وتابع الأمين العام للمجلس النرويجي للاجئين، "نحتاج إلى إعادة الإعمار لتسهيل عودة النازحين والمهجرين إلى ديارهم، على أنهم لا يستطيعون العيش في الخيام خلال الشتاء ويحتاجون إلى مبان للإقامة فيها".
وفي وقت سابق دعا إيغلاند، المانحين الإقليميين والدوليين إلى اغتنام "الفرصة غير المسبوقة" لدعم جهود التعافي في سوريا، مؤكداً أن مئات آلاف السوريين العائدين إلى ديارهم "يجدون أمامهم الأنقاض بدلاً من الحياة".

عبد الباسط عبد اللطيف: جريمة استخدام السلاح الكيميائي في سوريا لا تسقط بالتقادم
شدد رئيس الهيئة الوطنية للعدالة الانتقالية في سوريا على التزام الهيئة بمحاسبة مرتكبي مجزرة الكيماوي في الغوطة الشرقية وعدم إفلاتهم من العقاب.
خلال مشاركته في فعالية إحياء الذكرى الثانية عشرة للمجزرة بريف دمشق، كشف عبد الباسط عبد اللطيف رئيس الهيئة الوطنية للعدالة الانتقالية في سوريا، حقيقة ما جرى ومحاسبة الجناة، وإشراك الناجين وذوي الضحايا كركيزة أساسية في مسار العدالة الانتقالية.
وأكد عبد الباسط عبد اللطيف عزم الهيئة الكامل على بذل الجهود ومتابعة العمل لجلب المجرمين المسؤولين عن استخدام السلاح الكيميائي في سوريا وغيرها من الجرائم والانتهاكات الجسيمة التي ارتكبها النظام البائد، وسوقهم إلى المحاكم لينالوا جزاءهم العادل.
وأشار عبد اللطيف إلى أن جريمة استخدام السلاح الكيميائي لا تسقط بالتقادم، وأن مسار الهيئة الوطنية للعدالة الانتقالية سيكون شاملاً وبعيداً عن الانتقام والانتقائية.
موضحا أن مسار الهيئة لن يكون طريقاً للعفو عن المجرمين، بل محققاً للعدالة وإنصاف الضحايا، ومخلداً لذكراهم، مع العمل على جبر الضرر الناجم عن الانتهاكات، إضافة إلى إرساء دعائم السلم الأهلي والمصالحة الوطنية.

أكدت رئاسة إقليم كوردستان في بيان على سيادة القانون وحفظ الأمن والاستقرار في السليمانية، وشددت على ضرورة حل الخلافات بالطرق السلمية والقانونية بعيدا عن العنف.

Wildfire Erupts in Afrin’s Forests
ARK News.. Local sources reported that a wildfire broke out in the woodlands of Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan, burning large swathes of forested land.
According to the sources, the blaze began late Thursday night, August 21, in the forests of Darwish village, located in the Rajo district of Afrin, resulting in extensive damage to vegetation.
Residents appealed to firefighting and civil defense teams for urgent intervention to contain the flames and prevent further spread.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.

Hasaka: Inmates Attempt Escape from Kalasa Prison
ARK News.. Field sources reported that several inmates attempted to escape from Kalasa Prison in the city of Hasaka, in Syrian Kurdistan, after unrest broke out inside the facility.
According to BassNews, a group of civilian prisoners—none of them affiliated with ISIS—tried to flee the prison on Thursday evening, August 22, but the attempt was thwarted.
Other sources, however, indicated that some inmates managed to escape after killing a guard and seizing his weapon.
BassNews added that the situation inside the prison and in its surrounding area is now fully under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Fragile Calm Returns to Sulaymaniyah After Arrest of Lahor Sheikh Jangi
ARK Nws.. A cautious calm returned to the streets of Sulaymaniyah on Friday morning following the arrest of Lahor Sheikh Jangi, head of the People’s Front Party, along with dozens of his armed supporters. The clashes, which left several members of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) forces killed or wounded, had erupted the previous night, according to security sources.
Tensions flared late Thursday, August 21, when large security units surrounded the Lalazar Hotel in the Sarchinar district, where Sheikh Jangi had barricaded himself. Security forces, tasked with enforcing a judicial arrest warrant, came under fire after he refused to surrender, triggering intense clashes that saw the use of medium and heavy weapons.
The firefight lasted nearly four hours, setting the hotel ablaze and sending flames and smoke into the night sky. By dawn on Friday, security forces managed to detain Sheikh Jangi and his brother Polad, who was injured in the leg during the standoff.
Judicial authorities in Sulaymaniyah confirmed that the arrest was carried out under a warrant issued by the city’s Investigative Security Court, citing Article 56 of Iraq’s Penal Code No. 111 of 1969, which addresses participation in gatherings aimed at disturbing public security and order.
Shortly before his capture, Sheikh Jangi appeared in a recorded video declaring, “The forces have decided to attack. This may be my final message. I will die standing and will not submit to any oppressive power.”
By Friday morning, the situation in the city had largely stabilised, though security forces maintained a heavy presence around the Lalazar Hotel, continuing search operations. The blaze inside the building triggered explosions in weapons caches belonging to Jangi’s group, causing sporadic blasts throughout the night.
Security forces also detained several of Jangi’s top aides, including Reboard Hamed Haji Ghali, while others reportedly surrendered.
The clashes left 15 PUK fighters injured and resulted in at least two deaths, according to security sources.
In response to the events, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani issued a statement urging all sides to exercise restraint and immediately halt the fighting. He warned that such conflicts endanger the stability of the Kurdistan Region, stressing that disputes must be resolved through legal means and that the youth of Kurdistan must not be sacrificed to political strife.
