Regime’s crimes in Daraa
ARK News... A civilian from the Daraa countryside lost his life at the hands of the Syrian regime's militants, in light of the regime's continued violations against civilians in its areas of control.
Local sources, on Friday, April 14, 2023, reported that the young man, Bilal Adnan al-Turkmani, lost his life in the town of al-Sahwa in the eastern countryside of Daraa, at the hands of members of the checkpoint of the Fifth Corps of the Syrian regime, as a result of live bullets being fired at him directly, on the outskirts of the town.
The sources added that the young man is a civilian and does not belong to any political or military party.

A demonstration rejecting normalization with the Syrian regime in Izaz
ARK News... A demonstration, on Friday, April 14, 2023, took place in the Syrian city of Izaz, rejecting normalization with the Syrian regime.
Izaz is a city located in the northern countryside of Aleppo, under the control of Turkey and the armed factions opposing the Syrian regime.
Local sources said that the demonstration took place to condemn the efforts to normalize relations with the Syrian regime and to affirm the rejection of normalization with it.
The demonstrators demanded that the regime be held accountable for the crimes it committed instead of normalizing relations with it.

The tenth anniversary of the abduction of the eight officers
ARK News: Saturday, 16/4/2023, marks the tenth anniversary of the disappearance and abduction of the eight Kurdish officers who are dissidents from the Syrian regime, and although abducted in areas under the control of the Democratic Unionist Party (PDP) in Syrian Kurdistan, the PYD denies the presence of the eight officers in their jails or the recognition of their extradition to the Syrian regime.
After the outbreak of the Syrian revolution and because of the repression practiced by the Syrian regime against the defenseless Syrian people at that time, thousands of elements and officers broke away from the regime's army, and hundreds of Kurds, were forced into military service and volunteers, also broke away from the regime's army.
In April 2013, eight Kurdish officers from Afrin, Kobani, and al-Bab areas dissident from the Syrian army and decided to come to the Kurdistan Region after arriving at Qamishlo city in Syrian Kurdistan, which was still under the control of the PYD, the communication was interrupted on 16-17 / 4/2013 with them and no information about them until the preparation of the report.
The eight officers are:
-Brigadier General Mohammed Khalil Ali from al-Bab City East Aleppo
-Colonel Mohammed Haitham from the Afrin region
-Colonel Hasan Oso from the Afrin region
-Colonel Mohammed Gula Khairi from the Afrin region
-Lt. Col. Shawqi Osman from Afrin Region
-Major Bahzad Na'so from the Afrin region
-Captain Hussein Bakir from the Afrin region
-First Lieutenant Adnan Barazi from Kobani City
Thus the fate of the eight Kurdish officers remains unknown despite the fact that tens of years have passed since their disappearance and kidnapping.

ضباط كورد منشقون عن النظام مختطفون من قبل مسلحي PYD مجهولو المصير حتى الآن
آرك نيوز... تمر اليوم 16 نيسان 2023، الذكرى السنوية العاشرة لاختفاء واختطاف الضباط الكورد الثمانية المنشقين عن النظام السوري من قبل مسلحي PYD، إلا أن مسلحي ب ي د ينفون وجود الضباط الثمانية في سجونهم أو الاعتراف بتسليهم للنظام السوري.
وبعد اندلاع الثورة السورية، وبسبب ممارسات القمع الذي كان يمارسه النظام السوري ضد الشعب السوري الأعزل آنذاك، انشق الآلاف من العناصر والضباط عن جيش النظام، كما انشق المئات من الكورد المُلزمين والمُجبرين في الخدمة العسكرية والمتطوعين عن جيش النظام.
في نيسان 2013 انشق ثمانية من الضباط الكورد عن جيش النظام السوري، وقرروا المجئ إلى إقليم كوردستان وبعد وصولهم إلى مدينة قامشلو بكوردستان سوريا التي كانت و ماتزال تخضع لسيطرة ب ي د انقطع التواصل معهم بتاريخ 16 نيسان 2013 ولامعلومات عنهم حتى إعداد الخبر.

Our correspondent in Kawergosik camp: Eid preparations with hopes of returning to Syrian Kurdistan
ARK News... The Kawergosik camp market for Kurdish refugees is witnessing a high demand for Eid's needs.
Kawergosik camp is one of the Kurdish refugee camps in the countryside of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, where refugees from the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan live, who fled from the raging war in Syria for years.
Our correspondent in the camp said: With the approaching Eid al-Fitr, the refugees are making preparations for the holiday and buying its needs. The market is very popular.
He stressed that some of the low-income people suffer from high prices, especially since this is the first year in which the US dollar has jumped significantly against the Iraqi dinar, which negatively affected the rise in prices.
During his tour of the market, our correspondent indicated that the refugees wish to restore security and stability to Syria in general and Syrian Kurdistan in particular, so that they can return to the birthplace of their fathers and grandfathers.

A source for ARK: The sounds that were heard in Hasakah are for the exercises of the coalition forces
ARK News... Two explosions, this morning, April 15, 2023, were heard from the city of Hasakah, in Syrian Kurdistan.
Sources from Hasakah indicated that two loud explosions were heard at four o'clock in the morning.
Other local sources confirmed that it was training for the international coalition forces.
The international coalition forces continue to strengthen their presence by sending reinforcements to their bases stationed in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan.

British Consulate: We must never forget the inhumane nature of Saddam Hussein's heinous crimes
ARK News… On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Anfal crime committed by the former Iraqi regime against the Kurdish people, the British Consulate General in Erbil, on Friday, published a speech by the British Minister of State for Middle East Affairs, Lord Tariq Ahmed.
"Today we commemorate the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Anfal campaign and honor the memory of those who were killed or harmed during these tragic events," the British minister said in his speech, which was translated by (BasNews).
He added, “Between 1986 and 1989, Saddam Hussein’s regime launched a brutal and coordinated campaign against the Kurds and other minorities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This included Saddam Hussein's abhorrent order to use chemical weapons against civilians, most notably in Halabja."
The British minister continued: “The Anfal campaign resulted in the destruction of 4,000 Kurdish villages, and between 50,000 and 100,000 men, women, and children were killed or maimed and forcibly displaced from their homes. We must never forget the inhumane nature of Saddam Hussein's heinous crimes.
He added, "My thoughts are with the families of those who were killed and the survivors who are still living with the unimaginable consequences."
The minister concluded by saying: "The United Kingdom will remain committed in its support for peace, stability, and prosperity for the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq."
