Bogdanov: The United Nations insists on replacing the 6 names of the Syrian Constitutional Committee
ARK News: Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov has indicated that he will continue to work with the concerned parties to complete the formation of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, hoping to launch the work of the Committee as soon as possible.
Bogdanov said that the names of the candidates are currently being coordinated in the third list of the Constitutional Committee, which is supposed to include representatives of "civil society", “noting that the United Nations insisted on replacing six candidates whose names were on the original list.
"He added saying: “We hope that the process will end as soon as possible, and "the formation of the commission ultimately depends on the consensus between the Syrian regime and the opposition, and both parties must agree in one form or another to all the 150 candidates of the constitutional committee.
