Thomas Barrack: Trump Has Set a Clear Vision for a Prosperous Middle East and a Stable Syria

ARK News.. The U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy for Syria announced that the United States has begun implementing President Donald Trump’s vision for stability in Syria and economic development across the broader region.

In an official statement, Ambassador Thomas Barrack said,
“President Donald Trump has laid out a clear vision for a prosperous Middle East and a stable Syria that lives in peace with itself and its neighbors.”

Barrack noted that on May 13, President Trump committed to lifting strict U.S. sanctions on Syria to empower the country’s new government in its efforts to restore stability.

He also indicated that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is now leading the implementation of this vision, stating,
“The lifting of sanctions opens tremendous opportunities across the region for all forms of peace, security, and the resolution of conflicts and wars.”

He added:
“Lifting sanctions on Syria will safeguard our primary objective — the enduring defeat of ISIS — while also giving the Syrian people a chance at a better future.”
