Lebanon... A wave of anger and continuous attacks against Syrian refugees
ARK News… Since Monday evening (April 8, 2024), Lebanon has been witnessing a wave of anger against Syrian refugees, after the kidnapping and killing of Pascal Suleiman - an official in the Lebanese Forces party - by a gang said to be Syrian and transporting his body to Syria.
According to Lebanese media, the coordinator of the Lebanese Forces party in the Jbeil region, northeast of the capital, Beirut, Bascal Suleiman, was killed in Syria less than 24 hours after his kidnapping, which sparked confusion and attacks against Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
Video clips spread on social media, showing Syrian refugees in Lebanon being subjected to attacks and beatings by angry citizens over the killing of Bascal Suleiman.
