ARK News… Meat prices in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan remain high, coinciding with the decline in the value of the Syrian pound against foreign currencies.

Local sources from Qamishlo city in Syrian Kurdistan said that a kilogram of chicken in the city is sold for (30) thousand Syrian pounds, which constitutes a burden on the shoulders of citizens who are unable to secure basic food supplies for daily life.

This high price of chickens coincides with the decline in the value of the Syrian pound against the US dollar, as the price of the US dollar against the Syrian pound reached (15,150) pounds for sale, and (15,000) pounds for purchase.
