The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council holds its regular meeting in Qamishlo

ARK News: The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria held its regular meeting on Friday, November 23, 2018, in Qamishlo city, in the presence of a majority of its members from representatives of Parties, civil society organizations, and independents.

The meeting began with a minute of silence for the martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan, and after the ratification of the work table, several points were discussed, the most important was the political situations, especially the Committee for the preparation of the Constitution and the representation of the Kurdish National Council in it, the meeting also discussed the violations which carried out by the armed factions in Afrin from the destruction, looting and killing after the occupation of Turkey, as well as the attack by the Turkish occupation of eastern Euphrates Kurdistan, Syria.

The leadership, Mohammed Ismail, a member of the presidency of the Council stated to the site of R-ENKS saying: “The regular meeting of the Secretariat was to consider a set of points on a work schedule that are: Studying the current political situation such as the Turkish threats to the East Euphrates Kurdistan Syria, which are serious threats and fears of our people from the Turkish orientation because it is not against PKK and PYD, but against our Kurdish people and Kurdistan Syria, in addition to studying the practices of PYD and their current situation in creating a positive atmosphere in the region and give Turks real pretexts to attack Kurdish areas".

Ismail continued saying "That the meeting discussed the status of the coalition and our presence in the negotiating body and the constitutional committee and the general political situation in international forums related to the Syrian crisis, explaining that the views in the Kurdish National Council to some extent were identical in their orientation in this regard. "

“And as well as the follow-up to the work of the offices of the Kurdish National Council and the offices of the Secretariat from the Bureau of Council Affairs, the Information Office, the Legal Office, the National Peace Bureau and the Women's Bureau, and finding ways to facilitate their work and activities and various aspects that were working each in the field of competence, stressing that the Council expressed its satisfaction with the work and performance of the offices at this stage, in addition, to follow up the decisions taken by the Secretariat at its last meeting, and read all the messages received by the Council”, Ismail added.
