The remnants of war claim the lives of hundreds of civilians in Syria
ARK News… The remnants of war continue to explode among civilians, and constitute a concern among citizens in areas that have witnessed repeated military operations over the years of the Syrian war, as the number of victims of the remnants of war has reached more than 230 civilians throughout Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the number of victims of war remnants since the beginning of 2023 reached 235 civilians, in addition to at least 308 others suffering varying injuries.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the geographical distribution of victims of war remnants was as follows:
Syrian regime areas: 192 killed, including 16 women and 44 children, and 228 injured, including 9 women and 58 children.
Areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces: 32 killed, including 21 children and 4 women, and 37 civilians injured, including a woman and 27 children.
Areas of influence of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham and the armed factions... 4 killed, including a child, and 23 injured, including a woman and 16 children.
- 5 children were killed and 11 injured, including a woman and 10 children, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
A man and a child were killed and 5 injured, including two children, in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
4 were injured, including two women, in the countryside of Afrin city.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights renewed its call to relevant international organizations for the necessity of working to remove these wastes from Syrian territory in light of the dangers they pose to the lives of the population, as they are very widespread and threaten the lives of citizens on a daily basis.
