ARK News: The Minister of State for Displaced Affairs in the Lebanese Government (Mouin AL-Maroubi) revealed that the Assad regime carried out acts of killing, revenge, and displacement against Syrian refugees who returned from Lebanon to Syria.

"Several sectarian incidents were recorded, the most recent of which was the killing of three Syrians who returned 8 months ago from Lebanon to Syria through illegal crossings and were not registered with the General Security. They were killed on Sunday night, last Monday, knowing that their relatives were previously killed," he said according to Al-Hayat newspaper.

The Lebanese minister stressed that "the practice of these actions reduces the desire of the refugees to return to Syria," pointing that "many names which are on the lists this year are sent by Parties in Lebanon are also working on the return of refugees, are rejected and are forbidden them to return."

"The number of refugees who have left Lebanon since last June (from the legal and illegal crossings) is about 55,000," he said, adding that "some 7,000 of them have left under the supervision of the Lebanese public security."

Al-Maroubi didn’t hide the case and said that " What is done by the team of the ministry’s staff, which does not have a budget, has not been able to count the number of displaced people in Lebanon, nor to continue working as required in the ministry because Foreign Minister, Gibran Bassil did not accept this."

Syrian refugees in Arsal city gathered last month at Wadi Hamid’s checkpoint and 400 refugees from the Arsal camps were allowed to return their home, according to the National Information Agency.
