The Kurdish National Council in Syria condemns the heinous crime in Jenderes

ARK News... At the invitation of the Kurdish National Council, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, the Kurdish people staged a sit-in in front of the United Nations headquarters in Qamishlo, Syrian Kurdistan.

The sit-in took place today at twelve o'clock, denouncing the crimes of the armed factions in Afrin and Jenderes in Syrian Kurdistan, especially the recent heinous crime against four members of the Peshmerg family in Jenderes on Newroz night, at the hands of the militants of the Jaysh Al Sharqiya Eastern Army.

The sit-downers raised banners denouncing the heinous crime in Jenderes, in addition to pictures of the martyrs, demanding the removal of all armed factions from Afrin.

In the presence of the leaders of the Kurdish National Council and its parties, political, social, and cultural personalities and events, and a large gathering of the Kurdish people, the sit-in took place in front of the United Nations headquarters.

The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement about the crime committed by the militants of the Jaysh Al Sharqiya Eastern Army in Jenderes, against Kurdish civilians and the martyrdom of four of them on the night of lighting the Newroz flame. The values for which the Syrians went out and made great sacrifices, and even worked against them.
