ARK News.. Turkey has emphasized that the recent sanctions exemptions granted to Syria's new administration are insufficient, calling for a permanent and unconditional removal of all sanctions.
Speaking at the Brussels IX Donors' Conference on Syria, organized by the European Union, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yilmaz urged the international community to take urgent action to improve the daily lives of Syrians. He stressed the importance of supporting the Syrian administration’s efforts to achieve a comprehensive political transition.
Yilmaz highlighted economic security as a key factor in stabilizing Syria, stating that encouraging the return of Syrian refugees requires large-scale reconstruction efforts, economic opportunities, and job creation.
While welcoming the recent sanctions exemptions, he insisted that they remain inadequate, underscoring the need for a full and unconditional lifting of sanctions to enable tangible improvements in Syrians’ living conditions.

France Proposes Sanctions Against Perpetrators of Killings in Syria’s Coastal Region
ARK News.. France has proposed that the European Commission impose sanctions on those responsible for the killings of civilians—mostly Alawites—in Syria’s coastal region.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced the proposal in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating:
"I have proposed sanctions against those responsible for the executions of civilians in the Alawite coastal region of Syria."
The unrest began on March 6 in a predominantly Alawite village in rural Latakia following the arrest of a wanted individual by security forces.
The situation quickly escalated into clashes, as armed Alawite militants—whom authorities identified as loyalists of ousted President Bashar al-Assad—opened fire on security forces in multiple locations.

United Nations: Lack of Stability Could Trigger New Waves of Refugees in Syria
ARK News.. The Director-General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has called on countries to invest in Syria’s reconstruction following the end of Bashar al-Assad’s rule.
In an interview with Euro news, Amy Pope, the Director-General of the UN-affiliated IOM, emphasized that discussions about the return of Syrian refugees "should not be isolated from the broader economic and political context."
She stated:
"We encourage countries to invest in peacebuilding, Syria’s recovery, and humanitarian aid efforts."
Pope also warned that the absence of stability could lead to new waves of refugees in the future.

Syrian Democratic Forces Abduct a Minor from Sheikh Maqsoud Neighborhood in Aleppo
ARK News.. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their policy of terrorizing children, depriving them of their childhood, and forcibly recruiting them into military camps in areas under their control. In the latest incident, a minor was abducted from a village in Afrin’s Bulbul district.
A confidential source told ARK News that armed members of the Revolutionary Youth Movement affiliated with the SDF, abducted 15-year-old Farida Khalil Mohammed on February 15, 2025, after iftar near the vegetable market on Bilaliko Street in Sheikh Maqsoud, Aleppo.
According to the source, when the girl's family approached compulsory service centers, the neighborhood’s Asayish forces, and the Revolutionary Youth Movement headquarters, they initially denied any involvement in her disappearance or recruitment. However, militants later admitted to holding the girl.
The abducted minor hails from Bekhcha village in Afrin’s Bilbile town.
Despite SDF commander Mazloum Abdi signing an action plan with Virginia Gamba, the UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, to end and prevent the recruitment of children under 18 for military purposes, the practice of enlisting minors into combat roles continues unabated.

أفاد الدفاع المدني السوري "الخوذ البيضاء" بأن حریقا، اندلع فی مستودع وصهاريج للمحروقات في مدينة دوما قرب جسر مسرابا بريف دمشق اليوم الثلاثاء 18 آذار 2025، وأن فرقه سارعت إلى موقع الحريق فور تلقي البلاغ.
وانتشرت عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تسجيلات مصورة توثق لحظة انفجار أحد الصهاريج، مما تسبب في ارتفاع ألسنة اللهب بشكل كبير في السماء، وسط حالة من الذعر بين الأهالي.

أفادت مصادر إعلامية سورية أن عناصر من المجلس العسكري في السويداء اعتدت على مشاركين في احتفالية الذكرى السنوية للثورة السورية.
وفق موقع تلفزيون سوريا أن شباب ساحة الكرامة تصدوا لمحاولة عناصر المجلس العسكري رفع علم خاص بهم في احتفالية الذكرى السنوية للثورة السورية التي أقيمت في ساحة الكرامة وسط المدينة، اليوم الثلاثاء 18 آذار 2025، ما أدى إلى وقوع مشادات كلامية وتدافع مع المتظاهرين.
وأضاف المصدر أن الاصطدام تسبب في مشاحنات وتبادل للشتائم، قبل أن يتطور الأمر إلى اعتداءات طالت بعض الصحفيين الذين كانوا يوثقون الحدث، حيث حاول عناصر المجلس منعهم من التصوير.
وأكد المصدر أن الأهالي تدخلوا وأجبروا عناصر المجلس العسكري على مغادرة الساحة، لتستمر الفعالية من دون وقوع مزيد من التوترات.

حلب.. إعادة تأهيل 715 منزلاً في مدينة إعزاز
لإعادة تأهيل المنازل المتضررة من زلزال 2023 في مدينة إعزاز بمحافظة حلب، وقّع مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية اتفاقية تعاون مع إحدى مؤسسات المجتمع المدني.
بحسب ما ذكرت "الإخبارية السورية"، تشمل الاتفاقية تنفيذ المرحلة الثالثة من مشروع الترميم، حيث سيتم إعادة تأهيل 715 منزلاً، إضافةً إلى تجهيز 55 وحدة سكنية مؤقتة لإيواء العائلات الأكثر تضرراً.
كما سيتم تزويد جميع المنازل والوحدات السكنية بالمستلزمات الضرورية لضمان حياة كريمة للسكان،
ويُقدَّر عدد المستفيدين من هذه المرحلة بأكثر من 4500 شخص، في إطار الجهود المستمرة لتخفيف معاناة الأهالي وإعادة الاستقرار إلى المناطق المتضررة.
