Omer Chalik Announces Upcoming Visit of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shar’a to Turkey
ARK News.. Omer Chalik, spokesperson for Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), has announced that Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa is scheduled to visit Turkey later this month to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
In a press statement delivered on Monday, April 7, 2025, following a meeting of the AKP’s Central Executive Committee chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Chalik confirmed that President al-Sharaa will arrive in Turkey on Friday, April 11, to attend the high-profile diplomatic event.
Chalik noted that the forum will host numerous heads of state and government, foreign ministers, and international relations experts, with President al-Sharaa among the prominent attendees.
This visit marks a continuation of diplomatic engagement between Ankara and Damascus, following President Erdogan’s official reception of al-Sharaa in February during his first visit to Turkey from Saudi Arabia.

More Than Half of Syria’s Population Faces Food Insecurity, UN Warns
ARK News.. The United Nations has confirmed that over half of Syria’s population is currently grappling with food insecurity, driven by deteriorating economic conditions and ongoing conflict.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the World Food Program (WFP) stated, “Half of Syria’s population is facing food insecurity due to conflict, economic collapse, and a recent surge in violence.”
The WFP highlighted that more than 7 million people remain internally displaced, while critical infrastructure, housing, and essential services have been severely damaged or destroyed.
“This is a pivotal moment for Syria — it’s now or never,” the United Nations stressed.
In a separate report, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) revealed that cereal production in Syria is projected to decline by approximately 13% in 2025 compared to the previous year. The FAO warned that food security challenges are likely to intensify due to the fragile economic situation, the prolonged conflict, and the impacts of climate change — despite a slight drop in food prices.
The organization emphasized that these alarming trends call for immediate intervention and a coordinated response from humanitarian agencies and international actors.

Syrian Democratic Forces Accused of Abducting Kurdish Minor from Kobani Countryside
ARK News.. In a continued pattern of intimidating children and stripping them of their childhood through forced conscription, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have reportedly abducted a Kurdish minor from a village in the Kobani region of Syrian Kurdistan.
According to a confidential source cited by ARK News, armed members of the Revolutionary Youth Movement affiliated with the SDF, kidnapped 13-year-old Kamiran Hamo Ismail from the village of Arna, located in the countryside of Kobani.
The father of the abducted child has issued a plea to Mazloum Abdi, commander of the SDF, urging him to return the boy to his family due to his young age.
This incident comes despite a signed action plan between Mazloum Abdi and Virginia Gamba, the United Nations Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, aimed at ending and preventing the recruitment and use of children under the age of 18 in military activities.
Nevertheless, reports of continued child recruitment and involvement in armed conflict under SDF control persist, raising serious concerns among human rights advocates and local communities.

Middle East Eye: Israel May Approve Turkish Military Bases in Syria

قال مصدر خاص لموقع آرك نيوز، إن مسلحي حركة الشبيبة الثورية (جوانين شورشكر) التابعة لقوات سوريا الديمقراطية اختطفوا القاصر "كاميران حمو إسماعيل"، البالغ من العمر (13 عاماً) من قرية عرنة بريف مدينة كوباني في كوردستان سوريا.
وناشد والد القاصر المختطف، مظلوم قائد قوات سوريا الديمقراطية لإعادة طفله إلى كنف العائلة لصغر سنه.
رغم توقيع مظلوم كوباني قائد قوات سوريا الديمقراطية خطة عمل مع فرجينيا غامبا ممثلة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بالأطفال والنزاع المسلح، لإنهاء ومنع تجنيد الأطفال دون سن 18 واستخدامهم في الأعمال العسكرية، فإن زج القاصرين في المعارك وتجنيدهم ما يزال مستمراً.

كشف موقع "ميدل إيست آي" أن إسرائيل قد توافق على إنشاء قواعد تركية في سوريا، وأن الطرفين قد أجريا محادثات بشأن إنشاء خط لتفادي الاشتباك في سوريا.
وفق موقع "ميدل إيست آي"، أفادت مصادر غربية، أن تركيا وإسرائيل أجرتا محادثات بشأن إنشاء خط لتفادي الاشتباك في سوريا، بهدف منع أي احتكاك أو سوء تفاهم قد يؤدي إلى صدام مباشر بين جيشي البلدين.
وحسب المصدر أن إسرائيل قد تبدي قبولاً بإنشاء قواعد عسكرية تركية في وسط سوريا كجزء من ترتيبات منع التصادم. حيث جاء ذلك بعد أيام من استهداف إسرائيل قاعدة "T4" الجوية في محافظة حمص.
نفّذ سلاح الجو الإسرائيلي الأسبوع الماضي غارات على مواقع عسكرية في سوريا، شملت قاعدة حماة الجوية وقاعدة التياس المعروفة بـ"T4"، وهي القاعدة التي كانت تركيا تخطط لإرسال فريق تقني إليها لإجراء تقييم أولي استعداداً لإعادة تأهيلها.

أعلن المتحدث باسم حزب العدالة والتنمية التركي، أن الرئيس السوري سيزور تركيا خلال شهر نيسان الجاري للمشاركة في منتدى أنطاليا الدبلوماسي.
خلال تصريح صحفي قال المتحدث باسم حزب العدالة والتنمية التركي عمر تشليك، اليوم الإثنين 7 نيسان 2025، عقب اجتماع اللجنة التنفيذية المركزية للحزب برئاسة الرئيس رجب طيب أردوغان في العاصمة أنقرة، إن الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع سيزور تركيا يوم الجمعة 11 نيسان الجاري للمشاركة في منتدى أنطاليا الدبلوماسي.
وأوضح عمر تشليك أن العديد من رؤساء الدول والحكومات ووزراء الخارجية وخبراء السياسة الخارجية سيحضرون المنتدى بما في ذلك الرئيس السوري الشرع.
وفي شباط الماضي، استقبل الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان رسميا لأول مرة الشرع الذي وصل إلى تركيا حينذاك قادما من السعودية.

أحمد الشرع يعين عبد القادر الحصرية حاكماً جديداً لمصرف سوريا المركزي
عيّن الرئيس السوري الانتقالي أحمد الشرع، اليوم الاثنين 7 نيسان 2025، عبد القادر الحصرية حاكماً جديداً لمصرف سوريا المركزي.
ونشرت رئاسة الجمهورية السورية نص القرار عبر قناتها الرسمية على تطبيق تلغرام، والذي جاء استناداً إلى الصلاحيات الممنوحة لرئيس الجمهورية، وبموجب القوانين والتشريعات النافذة.
ونص القرار في مادته الأولى على "تعيين السيد عبد القادر الحصرية حاكماً لمصرف سوريا المركزي"، فيما أوضحت المادة الثانية أن القرار يُبلّغ لمن يلزم لتنفيذه، ويُعمل به اعتباراً من تاريخ صدوره، وينشر في الجريدة الرسمية.
عبد القادر الحصرية:
عبد القادر الحصرية (مواليد 1961)، تلقى تعليمه الأكاديمي في كلية إدارة الأعمال في "الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت"، حيث حصل على درجتي البكالوريوس والماجستير في إدارة الأعمال.
نال درجة الدكتوراة في التمويل من جامعة "دورهام" في المملكة المتحدة، مع إعداد أطروحته حول دور أسواق المال في تمويل الإسكان، وفق ما أورد موقع "من هم".
حصل الحصرية على ماجستير في القانون العام (Common Law) من "كلية أوسغوود للحقوق" في كندا، حيث أجرى أبحاثاً حول تطوير تنظيم العملات والأصول الرقمية، إلى جانب حصوله على ليسانس في الحقوق من جامعة دمشق، وبكالوريوس في علم الكمبيوتر من "الجامعة اللبنانية الأميركية".
أكمل أيضاً عدة برامج تنفيذية متخصصة، من بينها برنامج حول السياسات الضريبية والإدارة الضريبية في كلية كينيدي في "جامعة هارفارد"، وبرنامج تمويل الإسكان وتطوير أسواق المال في كلية وارتون في جامعة بنسلفانيا بالولايات المتحدة، إضافة إلى برنامج التمويل العقاري في "معهد ماساتشوستس للتكنولوجيا".
